MDU Distance Education Admission 2026

MDU Distance Education admission 2026 is open now for undergraduate, postgraduate, and certificate level programs offered through the Centre for Distance and Online Education. The last date to apply is 15 September 2026, and every application has to be submitted online at the @ddemduadm.samarth.edu.in portal. Offline forms are not accepted for MDU distance admission this session.

Selection is merit-based for every program, so admission depends on the marks scored in the last qualifying examination and not on any entrance test. There is no cap on seats in any program except MSc Mathematics. Before starting the form, students should read the CDOE Prospectus 2026-27, since MDU Distance Education requires an ABC ID, a DigiLocker account, and a DEB ID from all fresh applicants. Admission is confirmed only after the uploaded documents are verified and the annual fee is paid online.

MDU Distance Education Admission 2026 Last Date

15 September 2026 is the last date of MDU distance admission 2026 for all programs offered through CDOE. The MDU Distance Education admission window opened on 07 August 2026, which gives students a little over five weeks to finish the process. Since the ABC ID and DEB ID have to be generated on separate government portals before registration can even begin, applicants are advised not to leave the form until the final week. Students who need to correct their name, father’s name, or date of birth can do so within 30 days of the last date, with documentary proof.

MDU Distance BA Admission 2026

MDU distance BA admission 2026 is open now for the July session through the CDOE portal. The Bachelor of Arts program runs for three years under the semester scheme and is the most popular course at MDU Distance Education, mainly because it carries the lowest eligibility bar of any program here.

Applicants who have passed 10+2 in any stream with just 33% marks in aggregate are eligible to apply. The university also accepts candidates holding a Diploma in Pharmacy or a three-year professional diploma from the State Board of Technical Education, Haryana, though this route applies only to Semester I. The annual BA fee is INR 10,850/-, dropping to INR 8,600/- for SC/ST candidates of Haryana. Students choose their subject groups while filling the form, so read the group rules carefully before submitting.

MDU Distance BCom Admission 2026

The registration process for the three-year Bachelor of Commerce program is ongoing for the 2026-27 session. BCom is offered only in distance mode at MDU, unlike BA, which is available in both distance and online modes.

To be eligible for MDU distance BCom admission 2026, students must have passed their 10+2 examination with at least 45% marks in aggregate. SC/ST, blind, visually impaired, and differently-abled candidates of Haryana are eligible with 42.75% marks. Admission is granted purely on merit, and MDU Distance Education conducts no entrance test for this course. The annual BCom fee is INR 11,650/-, with a concessional rate of INR 9,400/- for eligible reserved-category students. Applications lastd date is  15 September 2026.

MDU MA Distance Admission 2026

MDU MA distance admission 2026 is open for eight subjects: Hindi, Sanskrit, English, Political Science, Public Administration, Economics, History, along with a separate MA in Journalism and Mass Communication. Each program runs for two years across four semesters.

A bachelor’s degree in any discipline with 45% marks in aggregate is the general requirement, relaxed to 42.75% for SC/ST, blind, visually impaired, and differently-abled candidates of Haryana. MA Sanskrit is the exception, as it needs Sanskrit at graduation level or a three-year Shastri qualification. The annual fee for every MA subject is INR 11,650/-. One point worth knowing before you choose a subject: if fewer than five students enrol in a program, MDU will not run it that session and the fee is refunded.

MDU Distance MCom Admission 2026

Maharshi Dayanand University is accepting applications for the two-year Master of Commerce program in distance mode for the current session. MCom sits in the higher fee bracket at MDU Distance Education, along with MSc Mathematics.

Eligibility is broader than most students expect. Along with BCom graduates, the university accepts BBA, BTM, and BIM degree holders, and also BA or BSc graduates who studied Economics or Mathematics, in each case with 45% marks in aggregate. Reserved-category candidates of Haryana qualify at 42.75%. The annual MCom fee is INR 13,100/-, reduced to INR 9,850/- for SC/ST students of Haryana and working defence personnel up to the level of JCO. Selection is merit-based, with no entrance test.

MDU Distance MSc Mathematics Admission 2026

MSc Mathematics is the only science program offered by MDU Distance Education, and it works a little differently from the rest. It is the sole program at CDOE with a capped intake, fixed as per UGC-DEB regulations, and the only one for which the university actually prepares a merit list.

Applicants need a BA or BSc (Hons.) in Mathematics, or a BA/BSc (Pass) with Mathematics as a subject for the full duration of the degree, securing at least 50% marks. The relaxed cut-off is 47.5% for SC/ST, blind, visually impaired, and differently-abled candidates of Haryana. Seats are allotted on academic merit and the Haryana reservation policy. The annual fee is INR 13,100/-. Given the seat limit, applying early genuinely matters for this program.

Is MDU Distance Education Valid?

Yes. MDU Distance Education holds approval from the UGC Distance Education Bureau, and in July 2026 that approval was extended for a further five years beginning with the 2026-27 session. The university itself is accredited by NAAC with an A+ grade and a CGPA of 3.44, and was ranked 46th among state public universities in NIRF 2025.

Degrees awarded through ODL mode carry the same recognition as MDU’s regular on-campus degrees and are accepted for government recruitment, private employment, and higher studies across India. When questions about the validity of its distance programs appeared in the press in December 2025, MDU published a formal clarification confirming that all programs run by CDOE are valid. Students can verify any program on the DEB portal before applying.

MDU Distance Education Study Material and Support Camps

Every enrolled student receives self-learning material from CDOE, available in soft copy on the university website and in hard copy where stock permits, in Hindi or English. Alongside the material, MDU Distance Education runs Student Support Services Camps (SSSCs), where learners meet counsellors, clear doubts, and interact with their peer group.

These camps are not optional, and this is the part most applicants miss. A student must attend at least 75% of the SSSCs for every subject opted, and anyone falling below that mark is not allowed to appear in the examination. Assignment submission is also compulsory, with a late fee of INR 25/- per subject per day. If you are working full-time, plan for this attendance requirement before you apply.
